Yunnan (FN), Nov. 7 – Sailun Group Co., Ltd., one of the world’s leading tire manufacturers with its own production line in Cambodia, has expressed its intention to expand investment in Cambodia to strengthen production capacity in the region.

Yuan Zhongxue, Chairman of Sailun Group Co., Ltd., paid a courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet on 6 November 2024 in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China.

During the meeting, Yuan Zhongxue briefed Samdech Thipadei on the company’s operations in various countries, the progress of its investments, and its collaborations with institutions in Cambodia. The Chairman also outlined the company’s plans to expand its investments in Cambodia, with a focus on: 1) processing rubber to produce various products, such as tires, for both domestic supply and export to international markets; and 2) establishing industrial parks to support the rubber processing industry and enhance production capacity in the region.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet congratulated Sailun Group on its global success and growth in Cambodia. He welcomed and supported the company’s plan to expand investment by establishing a complete ecosystem for tire production within an industrial park. This aligns well with the Royal Government’s policy to encourage companies to invest in Cambodia and to develop domestic supply chains for both local and international markets.

On the occasion, the premier also encouraged Sailun Group to continue working closely with relevant ministries and institutions within the Royal Government to turn its investment expansion plans into concrete actions.
