Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 20 – Cambodia earned more than USD 476 million from the export of rubber products in the first ten months of 2024, according to a report seen by Fresh News on Wednesday (Nov. 20).
According to the General Directorate of Rubber's report, revenue from the export of rubber as of October 2024 amounted to USD 472,033,832, while the export of rubberwood was USD 4,154,932.
The report also indicated that as of October 2024, the price of rubber was USD 1,621 per ton, an increase of USD 264 per ton, equivalent to a 19.43 per cent rise compared to the same period last year. The average export value of rubber in October 2024 was USD 229 per cubic meter.
In 2023, Cambodia earned approximately USD 537.9 million from the sale of rubber products, marking an increase of about USD 6.2 million, or 1.2 per cent, compared to 2022.
