Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 22 – AUPP High School-Foxcroft Academy is proud to announce that 6 of their Grade 11 students have been selected to represent Cambodia in the highly renowned World Robotics Olympiad (WRO) International Final 2024 in Izmir, Turkey. This accomplishment follows their outstanding performance at the Cambodia Robotics Olympiad 2024 (CRO 2024), where they secured 1st Place in the Senior Category of Robot Soccer, 1st Place in the Future Innovators category, and 1st Place in the Future Engineer category. These achievements have earned them the honor of advancing to the global competition.
This year’s success continues a legacy of excellence in robotics for AUPPHS-FA. The school first represented Cambodia at the WRO in 2022, held in Dortmund, Germany. In 2023, AUPPHS-FA students again represented Cambodia at the WRO in Panama City, Panama where they were awarded the prestigious “Start-Up Idea” Award for their innovative project. This not only solidifies AUPPHS-FA's commitment and expertise in the STEM subjects but also manifests Cambodia’s commitment to STEM education.
As the Robotics teams gear up for their departure to Turkey, AUPPHS-FA commends their hard work, creativity, and teamwork, which have made them role models for their peers. “Their achievements at CRO 2024 and now at WRO are a testament to their dedication and a shining example of how our students excel, not just academically but also in co-curricular pursuits,” said the school's Principal. “We are confident that our students will represent Cambodia and our school with distinction, demonstrating the strength of their technical and innovative skills as well as their enthusiasm for STEM.”
