Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 22 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and also the Chair of the 12th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP), stated that all countries should adhere to the international order based on law, promoting peace and avoiding interference in internal affairs that could lead to unrest or undemocratic regime change.

The premier spoke on Friday (Nov. 22) during the opening ceremony of the 12th General Assembly of ICAPP at the CPP’s headquarters.

Samdech Thipadei underscored, "Every politician should be responsible for peace, and peace should not be a secondary priority over winning an election or achieving a specific ideological goal."

Samdech Thipadei underlined that populism, extremism, and radicalism should be condemned and should not be seen as effective means of gaining political power.

Samdech Thipadei further added that exploiting the weaknesses of developing countries through insulting campaigns, spreading false information, and imposing unilateral sanctions on countries that do not align with certain geopolitical agendas should not become an internationally accepted practice.
