Phnom Penh (FN), 22 Nov. – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, also the Chair of the 12th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP), affirmed that peace can be achieved through peaceful settlement based on dialogue, consultation, and a win-win approach.
The premier spoke on Friday (22 Nov.) during the opening ceremony of the 12th General Assembly of ICAPP at the CPP’s headquarters.
"Peace can only be achieved through the peaceful settlement of disputes, based on dialogue, consultation, and a win-win approach. While strengthening defence is our right and sovereignty, it should not detract from our commitment to dialogue and peaceful resolution." Samdech Thipadei underscored.
Samdech Thipadei continued that in order to sustain the peace that is celebrated today, it is necessary to maintain peace every day. Reconciliation with adversaries, as demonstrated by Samdech Techo Hun Sen is a strength, not a weakness.
On the occasion, Premier Hun Manet added that reconciliation is not a sign of surrender but a demonstration of wisdom in seeking a win-win solution from conflict.
