Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 24 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet outlined importance of proactive efforts and collective collaboration in achieving and maintaining peace. He also called for increased participation from governments and diverse stakeholders, including the private sector, research institutions, and civil society organisations.

The premier spoke on Sunday (Nov. 24) during the opening of the 11th Plenary Session of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP) at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.

"Our efforts to find peace must be proactive and we must work together. At the same time, we need the increasing involvement of all governments, as well as other stakeholders such as the private sector, private funds, research institutions and civil society organisations," the premier underscored.

Samdech Thipadei affirmed the transformative power of peace and expressed Cambodia's commitment to sharing its experiences in peacebuilding and reconciliation with other nations striving for harmony.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Hun Manet urged all countries and institutions to unite in a collective commitment to creating a safer and more prosperous world for future generations.
