Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 26 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received the "World Outstanding Leadership" award from the KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific on Tuesday (Nov. 26).

Based in Malaysia, the KSI Institute is an independent, non-profit organisation and a link between government, business, and civil society to turn initiatives into influential outcomes. The main goal of the Institute is to build better countries across the Asia-Pacific region.

KSI is the leading organiser of an influential and innovative conference and forum with the participation of more than 3,000 policy makers, business leaders and NGO leaders through more than 60 high-level events. Since the end of 2018, KSI is the Secretary for the prestigious Kuala Lumpur Economic Club, the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and the Rakyat Dialogue Forum.

The Institute regularly evaluates and presents leadership awards to national leaders, businesspeople, and civil society organisations for their achievements.

The decision to award the "World Outstanding Leadership" award to Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet followed a thorough evaluation of his leadership qualities and accomplishments. The Institute highlighted the ingenuity, wisdom, and determination that Samdech Thipadei has demonstrated in leading the nation for over a year, maintaining peace and stability, and driving economic growth despite the global crisis. Under his leadership, Cambodia has maintained a strong macroeconomic situation, earning great satisfaction from the people.

It should be noted that in 2022, the Institute awarded the "Lifetime Achievement of Outstanding Leader" to Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
