Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 29 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by Robert Yap, Executive Chairman of YCH Group, on 28 November 2024 at the Peace Palace.
Executive chairman of YCH Group briefed Samdech Thipadei on the company business activities across 16 countries, highlighting its excellence in transportation and logistics, which has positioned YCH as one of Asia’s leading supply chain companies. He expressed strong interest in Cambodia, noting the country’s impressive and sustainable economic growth. YCH identified numerous opportunities and potential in Cambodia and conveyed its intention to invest in connectivity infrastructure, including transportation and logistics.
In response, Samdech Thipadei expressed his appreciation for companies exploring investment opportunities in Cambodia’s connectivity infrastructure. The premier emphasised the significance of this sector in enhancing Cambodia’s regional and global competitiveness. He underscored the Royal Government’s commitment to developing connected infrastructure to support the transportation and logistics sectors, including international airports, deep-sea ports, expressways, railways, as well as the quality improvement of roads and bridges.
Samdech Thipadei added that while attracting new investors, the Royal Government prioritises ensuring a favourable environment, competitiveness, and the growth and success of existing private sector businesses and investments in Cambodia. He also encouraged YCH Group to engage in comprehensive discussions with relevant ministries and institutions of the Royal Government to develop future business plans.
