Banteay Meanchey (FN), Nov. 29 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that when citizens place their trust in the Royal Government and in Samdech Techo Hun Sen, former Cambodian Prime Minister, tangible results are achieved. Therefore, Samdech Thipadei urged citizens not to heed calls that could lead to social chaos.
The premier spoke on Friday (Nov. 29) at the inauguration of new achievements in Boeng Chungrok Techo Win-Win development zone in Banteay Meanchey Province.
Samdech Thipadei emphasised that the Royal Government has worked tirelessly to address the issue of landlessness by organising social land concessions to distribute land to citizens. He further noted that the government has no policy to harm its citizens.
Samdech Thipadei continued that the Boeng Chungrok Techo Win-Win Development Zone stands as evidence of the Royal Government’s efforts to resolve conflicts between long-time residents and newcomers, demonstrating a commitment to the well-being of all citizens without discrimination.
Prime Minister Hun Manet also addressed a minority of individuals inciting people to rise against authorities who are working to resolve land disputes. He assured that while authorities adhere to the law in handling such situations, the Royal Government ensures that affected individuals without legitimate land are provided with legal ownership through the Win-Win Policy.
"Trust in the government yields real results. When citizens believe in Samdech Techo and the Royal Government, they see the progress that follows. Do not fall for incitements to disrupt peace and stability. Trust in our government to ensure continued development and growth," the premier underscored.
In addition, Premier Hun Manet said that for the past 15 months, the Royal Government has utilised the Win-Win Policy to resolve numerous issues in Boeng Chungrok, including land disputes involving thousands of families and tens of thousands of hectares. These resolutions were achieved through adherence to legal principles, maintaining peace, and fostering collaboration with citizens who trust the government. He warned against falling into the political traps set by opposition groups, which aim to create division and destabilise Cambodia.
On the occasion, the premier told the residents in the Boeng Chungrok Techo Win-Win development zone not to be swayed by opposition groups or foreign agitators. He called on citizens to trust the leadership and mechanisms of the Royal Government, which is committed to safeguarding their interests and continuing the development of the area.
