Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 2 – At the invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, Laotian Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone and his spouse Madam Vandala Siphadone will pay an official visit to Cambodia from 4-5 December 2024.

"Sonexay Siphandone and Madam will have a Royal Audience with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni at the Royal Palace. He is scheduled to pay separate courtesy calls on Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, and Samdech Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly," according to the press release seen by Fresh News on Monday (Dec. 2).

"Sonexay Siphandone will have a bilateral meeting with Samdech Thipadei at the Peace Palace, where they both will have an in-depth discussion on further fostering warm relations and expanding beneficial cooperation between the two countries in line with good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, and a comprehensive and long-lasting strategic partnership. The two prime ministers will also exchange their views on regional and international issues of common interest. The two leaders will also preside over the signing of some cooperative documents.

During the visit, Laotian prime minister will lay wreaths at the Independence Monument and the Royal Memorial Statue of Cambodian late King Father Norodom Sihanouk.

The official visit of Laotian prime minister to Cambodia will further cement the bonds of traditional friendship, which happily exist and expand cooperation in all fields between the two countries."
