Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 6 – Cambodian President of the Senate, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked Speaker of Lok Sabha of India Om Birla for his congratulatory letter on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Independence Day of Cambodia.

"I would like to extend my sincere appreciation for your congratulatory letter dated 9 November 2024 on the occasion of the 71st Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Kingdom of Cambodia," according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Friday (Dec. 6).

"I am truly delighted that Cambodia and India have the longest and friendly relations in terms of civilization, culture, and religion. It is also worth noting that the relationship between our two countries, peoples, and parliaments have flourished for the past few decades.

As President of the Senate, I stand ready to work closely with you and the Lok Sabha of India to further strengthen the existing bilateral ties and cooperation between our two countries and legislatures for the best interests of our countries and peoples.
