Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 12 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet called on state institutions and citizens to respond promptly and decisively to false accusations against Cambodia to defend the nation’s honour.
The premier spoke on Thursday (Dec. 12) during the commemoration of the 12th National Day Against Human Trafficking, held at Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Centre, Phnom Penh.

However, when the truth was eventually revealed, the audience reached was significantly smaller, often only tens of thousands.
Premier Hun Manet also underlined the need for a swift and effective response to all false accusations against Cambodia.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei stated that Cambodia faces challenges but cannot allow any nation to undermine its honour and reputation. He added that no one should be permitted to slander Cambodia, potentially impacting the global perception of its people.
Samdech Thipadei called on all state institutions and citizens to unite in protecting Cambodia’s national honour. He urged collective efforts to combat human trafficking and other crimes for the safety and well-being of future generations, while maintaining the peace and stability that the nation enjoys today.
