Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 13 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet advised the Ministry of Commerce to continue collaborating with international sales companies to expand markets for Cambodian products, speaking on Friday (Dec. 13) at the opening of Cambodia Trade Expo 2024 on Friday (Dec. 13) in Phnom Penh.

“The Ministry of Commerce needs to be more proactive in exporting our potential products to new markets,” the premier underscored. He noted that in the first 11 months of 2024, Cambodia's trade volume was USD 50.46 billion, increase about 15.95 percent compared to the same period in 2023.

On behalf of the Royal Government, Samdech Thipadei expressed pride and appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Commerce, relevant institutions, and the private sector, which have consistently cooperated in attracting investors and boosting trade growth through exports to both local and global markets.

The premier advised to continue the implementation of the approach 'Strengthening Current Markets and Expanding to New Markets' to ensure that Cambodian products can access both domestic and international markets.
