Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 13 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that the Royal Government of Cambodia is amending several legal documents related to the work of ministries and government institutions in order to improve the working environment.
The premier spoke on Friday (Dec. 13) at the opening ceremony of Cambodia Trade Expo 2024 under the theme A New Era of Trade on Friday (Dec. 13) in Phnom Penh.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet revealed that a review of all laws and regulations related to the trade sector is underway. The goal is to create a more favorable environment for trade and investment.
Samdech Thipadei underscored, "The review of all laws and regulations related to the trade sector aims to promote a favorable environment for trade and investment. I always recommend that when we address small issues, we should not constrain ourselves with rigid methods."
In this regard, Samdech Thipadei instructed the Ministry of Commerce to review all existing legal documents and ensure they continue to be updated and reformed for greater effectiveness. He added that these legal documents are intended to enhance the activities and outcomes of the sector, and it is essential to correct any shortcomings or challenges.
Additionally, Prime Minister Hun Manet reminded the Ministry of Commerce to continue collaborating with international sales companies to expand the market for Cambodian products. He also recommended continuing the implementation of the approach 'Strengthening Current Markets and Expanding to New Markets' to ensure that Cambodian products can access both domestic and international markets.
