The 11th Sea Festival 2024 in Kampot Province, themed “Celebrating Heritage and Sustainability of Coastal Areas,” will take place from December 13–15, 2024. This event is expected to significantly boost Cambodia’s tourism sector in the following ways:

Second, coastal conservation and development. The festival fosters collaboration in preserving and developing coastal areas, aligning with Royal Government policies. This includes enhancing both general and tourism-specific infrastructure, driving grassroots development.
Third, improved service quality. The event aims to elevate service standards in the tourism sector, contributing to Cambodia’s broader tourism growth.
Fourth, economic impact. The festival stimulates national and local economies by attracting tourists and creating income opportunities. It supports the tourism sector directly while benefiting local businesses indirectly, improving community livelihoods.
