Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 16 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet advised against allowing anyone to exploit opportunities that go against the government’s objectives regarding the registration of informal economy workers.

The premier spoke on Monday (Dec. 16) at the launching of the digital platform for informal economy registration, held at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.

Samdech Thipadei underscored, "I would like to implement measures to ensure fairness and prevent exploitation in all forms, particularly those who seek to misuse the online employment system."

Samdech Thipadei underlined that citizens' data is a critical matter that must be carefully managed and consistently protected, as it pertains to both security and privacy concerns.

Prime Minister Hun Manet also urged all relevant ministries and institutions to focus on collaboration with partner organisations and to actively engage in widespread dissemination, particularly at the capital and provincial levels.

On this occasion, Samdech Thipadei reminded that information sharing is crucial, as comprehensive and accurate information helps prevent misuse that could undermine trust in the new policy system and among citizens.
