Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 17 – Cambodian Senate President, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed hope that the re-election of Donald Trump as President of the United States (US) would strengthen and expand cooperation between Cambodia and the US.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen received a courtesy call by Chargé d’Affaires a.i., of the US Embassy in Cambodia Bridgette L. Walker on Tuesday (Dec. 17) at the Senate.
Samdech Techo also noted that past experiences in Cambodia-US relations serve as lessons in shaping attitudes for future cooperation, particularly in building mutual trust and identifying priorities for collaboration, including the economic and investment sectors.
Bridgette L. Walker conveyed her hope that sincere and transparent cooperation between the two nations would open avenues to further enhance economic progress. She also expressed her desire for improved Cambodia-US relations to help resolve occasional challenges and navigate new challenges through dialogue, which she described as a strong foundation for bilateral cooperation.
