Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 18 – Samdech Techo Hun Sen, head of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), instructed the Party’s Mass Movement Committee to consistently monitor and evaluate public opinion regarding the leadership of the Royal Government and the CPP, both on social media and at the grassroots level. He underlined that this effort is essential to effectively manage the increasingly complex national and international situations.

Samdech Techo spoke on Wednesday (Dec. 18) during a closing conference on 2024 achievements and future directions for CPP Mass Movement Committee, held at the CPP’s headquarter.

On this occasion, Samdech Techo Hun Sen urged the Party’s Mass Movement Committee to promote activities that foster social solidarity and encourage positive thinking among the population. He called for initiatives to strengthen the bond between Party officials and the people by enhancing connections between citizens and ministries, institutions, and government units at all levels, from the national to the sub-national level.

At the same time, Samdech Techo Hun Sen also instructed the Committee to enhance its publicity and public relations efforts, utilising both traditional and digital platforms, to keep pace with rapid technological advancements.

Additionally, Samdech Techo urged the Committee to focus on managing online media effectively, particularly in countering the spread of distorted information, misinformation, and content lacking in morality. Samdech Techo instructed to take swift action against such harmful content.
