Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 24 – After serving in Cambodia for about four years, the outgoing Indian Ambassador to Cambodia, Devyani Uttam Khobragade, has completed her term.
The premier received a farewell call by Devyani Uttam Khobragade on Monday (Dec. 23) at the Peace Palace.
During the meeting, Ambassador Khobragade expressed her profound gratitude to the Royal Government of Cambodia for its unwavering support and cooperation extended to her and the Indian Embassy. She attributed this support to the success of her diplomatic mission and its contribution to the continued development and enhancement of bilateral relations. She also conveyed her optimism that India-Cambodia relations would ascend to new heights in the future.
For his part, Samdech Thipadei commended and highly valued Ambassador Khobragade's efforts and significant contributions to strengthening and broadening the fruitful relations and cooperation between the two nations.
Both parties expressed their satisfaction and high appreciation for the progress in relations and cooperation across various potential sectors. These include the exchange of high-level visits, trade, the economy, security and national defence, digital transformation, human resource development, culture and religion, tourism, direct flight connections between Cambodia and India, and people-to-people ties.
