Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 25 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by the board of directors of the Cambodia Development Resource Institute (CDRI), led by Eva Mysliwiec, Founder and Former Executive Director of CDRI, on Tuesday (Dec. 24) at the Peace Palace. The meeting aimed to present a report on the progress and new strategic plan of CDRI.
During the meeting, Eva Mysliwiec briefed Samdech Thipadei on the progress of CDRI’s mission, which centres on conducting scientific research across various fields related to Cambodia’s socio-economic development. She highlighted CDRI's role in providing policy recommendations to the Royal Government, ensuring effective and efficient implementation in alignment with the Royal Government’s Pentagonal Strategy Phase One.
Mysliwiec also outlined CDRI’s future direction and new strategic plan, focusing on activities such as data collection and analysis, publishing research papers, promoting collaboration with regional research institutions, and offering training and certification in research and analysis.
For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet commended CDRI’s contributions to Cambodia’s socio-economic development over the past three decades. He affirmed the Royal Government’s continued support for CDRI’s activities and mission and encouraged further collaboration between CDRI, government ministries, institutions, and other research organisations to foster a more dynamic and robust research sector in Cambodia.
