Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 25 – Vietnamese President Luong Cuong pledged to work closely with Cambodian Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen to strengthen relations and cooperation between Cambodia and Viet Nam.

On 6 December 2024, Luong Cuong sent a letter to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, expressing gratitude for his congratulatory message following Luong Cuong’s election as President of Viet Nam during the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly on 21 October 2024.

In his letter, Luong Cuong reaffirmed his commitment to further deepening the good-neighbourly relations, traditional friendship, and comprehensive, stable, and long-term cooperation between Viet Nam and Cambodia. He underscored the importance of these efforts for the mutual benefit of both nations and for promoting peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and beyond.
