Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 26 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet underlined that everyone has the right to love and safeguard the nation, but they should not take any action that could lead to conflict or division.

The premier spoke on Thursday (Dec. 26) during a graduation of more than 1,000 students of the University of Human Resources, held at the National Institute of Education.

“When it comes to loving our nation and safeguarding territorial integrity, concern is essential. Every Cambodian must feel this concern, but it is crucial to express it in a way that unites, not divides. Division is a threat to our national strength and unity,” the premier underscored.

In addition, Samdech Thipadei stated that territorial protection must adhere to the three principles the government has implemented in the past: negotiating to clearly define the border, demarcating the border, and developing border areas.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that his absence from public statements on Facebook does not imply a lack of commitment by the Royal Government to protecting Cambodia’s territorial integrity and preserving its national prestige. He affirmed that the government works tirelessly every day to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and uphold its honour.
