Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 27 – Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn, received a courtesy call by Anatoly Borovik, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Cambodia on 26 December 2024. During this meeting, he commended Ambassador Borovik for his active role in strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and Russia, and agreed with the envoy on the importance of maintaining regular high-level engagements and good cooperation across various fields, in both bilateral and multilateral frameworks.

“Minister Prak Sokhonn expressed high appreciation for the existing fruitful cooperation in sectors, such as education, culture, health, as well as people-to-people exchange, and encouraged Ambassador Borovik to explore opportunities to promote economic ties between the two countries,” according to the outcomes seen by Fresh News on Friday (Dec, 27).

“The discussions also covered the possible convening of the Cambodia-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation (IGC) and the Bilateral Consultations between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs. Both sides also touched on some regional and international issues of common interests.”
