Understanding ANPR and ETC: ANPR is a priority gate for automatic payment via license plate number. Customers need to top up the amount in advance, without having to take a card at the entrance. The amount will be automatically deducted from the KB PRASAC savings account at the exit. ETC is another priority gate of the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway toll booth and has an automatic opening and closing barrier for vehicles to enter and exit. To enter and exit this gate, drivers must install an OBU device on the windshield of their vehicles. If your vehicle is not equipped with an OBU device, it will not be able to enter or exit this “ETC gate” even if you have already topped up money to your license plate.
