Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 2 – In her New Year’s message, Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, the Honorary President of the Kantha Bopha Foundation of Cambodia, appealed for more donations to continue ensuring the sustainability of Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospital operations.
She underlined that the hospital needs an average annual expenditure of more than USD 40 million to fulfil its mission of saving the lives of millions of infants, children, and pregnant women in the Kingdom.
“To ensure the sustainability of the operations of Kantha Bopha Hospital, I once again appeal to Your Excellencies, Lok Neak Oknha, Neak Oknha, Oknha, Ladies, and Gentlemen to continue your donations to the Kantha Bopha Cambodia Foundation. Your generosity brings smiles to infants and children who are the future of Cambodia,” Pich Chanmony underscored.
At the same time, Pich Chanmony also expressed the gratitude and appreciation to the leadership, staff of various ministries and institutions, municipal and provincial administrations, private companies and enterprises, as well as the general public, for cooperating and contributing in the spirit of “Khmer Helping Khmer” with the Kantha Bopha Foundation, which has been a significant and invaluable contribution to the mission of saving the lives of millions of infants, children, and pregnant women in Cambodia over the past years.
She expressed her strong hope that this movement of generous and compassionate donations will continue to thrive under the peace in the Kingdom of Cambodia, a peace brought about by Samdech Techo Hun Sen and continued under the wise leadership of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, who also serves as the Honorary President of the Kantha Bopha Foundation of Cambodia.
The Kantha Bopha Cambodia Foundation, inaugurated on 11 April 2018 by Samdech Techo Hun Sen and his spouse Bun Rany Hun Sen, was established to mobilize charitable funds from legal sources both domestically and internationally. Guided by the spirit of "Khmer Help Khmer," the foundation aims to ensure the sustainable operation of Kantha Bopha Hospital.
