Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 2 – The Phnom Penh Administration has launched the first phase of its Walk Street project along the riverside, spanning from the Cambodian Post Office to the Royal Palace (Street No. 240).

The initiative will take place every Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

The Walk Street will be closed to all vehicle traffic, with facilities such as public toilets and well-organized sales and marketing spaces designed to attract both local and international visitors.

Ahead of the launch, authorities will issue announcements to inform residents in the area. Strict measures will be enforced to maintain order, ensuring that no vehicles enter during designated hours. Following the trial period, officials will assess and refine the initiative to enhance the pedestrian experience.
