Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 5 – Khmer Enterprise (KE) held its 17th Board of Trustees Meeting, chaired by H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation and KE’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees, to review its achievements in 2024 and outline key strategies for 2025. The meeting highlighted significant progress in supporting Cambodia's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

In 2024, several notable milestones of Khmer Enterprise include:

- UniPreneur Program: Approximately 1,000 students from 25 universities across Cambodia participated in showcasing their business ideas.

- Khmer Enterprise Awards Night 2024: Khmer Enterprise honored 14 enterprises/groups out of around 2,000 applicants for their achievements.

- Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Day: This flagship event brought together local entrepreneurs—from high school and university students to startups, SMEs, and investors—both local and international. Featuring a dynamic exhibition of products and services, it attracted approximately 20,000 visitors.

- Promoting Entrepreneurial Growth in Global Market: Khmer Enterprise supported the Cambodian Rice Federation by leading 12 rice exporters to participate in the Salon International de l'Alimentation (SIAL) Paris, France. This global food exhibition in 2024 featured 7,800 companies from 130 countries, showcasing 400,000 food products. The event attracted 285,000 visitors from about 200 countries.

"The 2024 performance reflects the resilience and dedication of Khmer Enterprise, which has been instrumental in driving business growth and strengthening our entrepreneurial ecosystem,” Minister HEM Vanndy said. “In 2025, Khmer Enterprise’s mission remains focused on equipping entrepreneurs with the necessary resources, skills, and opportunities to thrive in the global market. It will be a crucial year to strengthen collaborations with both local and international partners, building a competitive foundation for Cambodia’s sustainable, resilient and inclusive development. Khmer Enterprise will take on a more strategic role as a catalyst, promoter, and facilitator in the development of priority sub-sectors of the economy".

The Board of Trustees expressed its continued support for Khmer Enterprise's vision of fostering innovation, supporting business growth and strengthening partnerships with development agencies and stakeholders within the entrepreneurial ecosystem to create a vibrant environment for startups and SMEs in Cambodia.

As of 2024, Khmer Enterprise has provided financial support to 907 grant recipients, through the Khmer Enterprise Assistance Package and SME Fundraising Program. It has also offered both technical and financial assistance to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Cambodia, enabling beneficiaries to secure additional external funding, including approximately $25.2M in investments and $12.3M in loans since 2020.
