Manila (FN), Feb. 10 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet presented opportunities for Philippine investors to collaborate in Cambodia’s education, vocational training, and technology sectors.
The premier spoke on Monday (Feb. 10) at Cambodia-Philippines Business Forum in Manila, the Philippines.
Samdech Thipadei underscored, “Cambodia prioritises skill development alongside the demand for quality education, creating significant opportunities for Philippine educational institutions, vocational training providers, and educational technology companies.”
Recognising the Philippines’ strong expertise in educational training programs, English language instruction, and vocational training in finance, accounting, and healthcare, Samdech Thipadei noted the country’s potential to contribute to Cambodia’s workforce development.
Samdech Thipadei further underlined that the Philippines serves as a center for technical development, particularly in information technology (IT), agriculture, finance, and infrastructure.
On the occasion, the premier stated that the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Cambodia and the Philippines on vocational training marks a step forward in strengthening professional skills.
At the same time, Prime Minister Hun Manet assured Filipino investors that the seventh-mandate Royal Government remains committed to attracting foreign investment, including from the Philippines. He underlined Cambodia’s efforts to organise business forums aimed at showcasing investment potential, clarifying investment laws, and encouraging investors to explore key sectors where Cambodia seeks further development.
