Kandal (FN), Feb. 11 – Cambodian Senate President, Samdech Techo Hun Sen addressed the case of individuals who have declared themselves as his spies while residing abroad. He stated that he has remained silent on the matter and sees no need to "pour salt, fish sauce, or MSG on spoiled soup."

Samdech Techo spoke on Tuesday (Feb. 11) during the inauguration ceremony of the school building and various achievements on the premises of Wat Preah Int Samki Thorma in Kandal province.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen underscored, “Ultimately, this is a spy crisis. I have said nothing. There is no need to season corpses that have already been buried. Or in other words, there is no need to find medicine for a wound that cannot be healed. Over time, some pretend to be spies, while others claim they are just consultants. Don’t be naive—you cannot escape reality. In difficult times, true politicians stay silent and remain resilient.”

Recently, a leaked audio recording between Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Seng Sary sparked controversy. In an interview with Radio Free Asia, Chun Chanboth accused Seng Sary of being a "spy" for Samdech Techo, while Seng Sary insisted that he had unknowingly fallen into a "spy trap" for the past four years.

In response, on the evening of 6 February 2025, Samdech Techo Hun Sen took to his official Facebook page to clarify, stating, “I have never considered Seng Sary a spy or a hostage, but rather a political consultant.”
