Kandal (FN), Feb. 11 – Cambodian Senate President, Samdech Techo Hun Sen stated that future leaders of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), who lead the Royal Government of Cambodia, cannot deviate from the party's political line.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen made this statement in response to questions raised by some foreigners and locals about when Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet would step out of Samdech Techo Hun Sen's political line.

Samdech Techo spoke on Tuesday (Feb. 11) during the inauguration of various achievements on the premises of Wat Preah Int Samki Thorma in Kandal province.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen underscored, “You asked when Hun Manet stepped out of his father’s shadow. It is clear that the roles of prime minister or minister cannot be the same, even for father and son, but they cannot deviate from the party's political line.”

On the occasion, Samdech Techo underlined that, even though he is both a father and party president, he does not interfere with Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet's work, and this non-interference strengthens his leadership.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen continued that any prime minister who leads contrary to party policy, even if they are a son, must be removed from office.
