Manila (FN), Feb. 11 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by Raymond Patrick V. Guico, President of World Citi Group on 10 February 2025 in Manila, the Philippines.

During the meeting, the president briefed Samdech Thipadei on World Citi Group’s ongoing efforts to collaborate with partners in Cambodia. He underlined the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Asia-Europe University as a testament to the company’s commitment to investing in and expanding its presence in Cambodia’s education and vocational training sector, particularly in health education.

He also outlined the company’s vision to develop Cambodia’s health education sector into a regional leader in Asia. He underscored that forming strong partnerships with Cambodian investors is a key factor in the company’s success.

The president expressed confidence that with support from the government and reliable partnerships, World Citi Group would achieve success in Cambodia.

Additionally, following a productive visit during the Cambodia-Philippines Business Forum and a courtesy call by the Board of Directors of the Philippine Businesswomen in Phnom Penh last January, the president informed Samdech Thipadei of plans for another delegation visit to Cambodia in the near future.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet congratulated World Citi Group and Asia-Europe University on the signing of the MoU at the opening of the Cambodia-Philippines Business Forum.

The premier welcomed the company’s interest in investing in Cambodia, particularly in health education and vocational training.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei underlined the Cambodian government’s prioritisation of the health sector, noting the country’s growing demand for health professionals, especially nurses, to provide essential healthcare services, including elderly care.

As health education is a science-based field, Samdech Thipadei underscored the importance of ensuring high-quality education and standards in this sector. He encouraged World Citi Group to continue engaging with local partners and relevant ministries, particularly the Ministry of Health, which oversees human resource development and sets standards for the healthcare sector.
