Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 14 – Cambodian Rice Federation announced that in January 2025, Cambodia exported 59,086 tons of milled rice, earing USD 48.03 million.
According to the Cambodian Rice Federation, these exports were carried out by 39 rice exporters to 45 destinations, of which to 23 European countries, totalled to 36,714 tons of rice, valued at USD 29.79 million. Meanwhile, China, including Hong Kong and Macau, received 3,772 tons worth USD 2.56 million. Four ASEAN countries imported 9,413 tons valued at USD 7.31 million, while 16 other countries—Africa, the Middle East, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.—imported 9,187 tons worth USD 8.37 million.
Of the rice exported, fragrant rice accounted for 93.01 per cent, white rice 2.93 per cent, parboiled rice 2.31 per cent, organic rice 1.42 per cent, and other varieties 0.33 per cent. Notably, total wet rice exports in January 2025 reached 619,489 tons, generating over USD 139.39 million.
