Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 22 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet highlighted BVLGARI’s prestigious event in Siem Reap, emphasizing its significance for Cambodia’s global image.
The Italian luxury jewellery brand hosted the BVLGARI AETERNA gala dinner at the iconic Bayon Temple, attracting internationally renowned celebrities and dignitaries.
The premier shared the news on his social media on Saturday morning (Feb. 22).
“The fact that this world-class luxury jewellery company has chosen Cambodia to host an exhibition, bringing in globally renowned celebrities, reflects the company’s confidence in the nation’s capacity, stability, and security. It also highlights the esteemed reputation of the Angkor region, one of the world's most attractive tourist destinations,” the premier underscored.
The “BVLGARI AETERNA” gala featured Cambodia’s First Lady, Pich Chanmony, as a distinguished guest.
In an exclusive interview with Fresh News Media, Jeffrey Hang, Regional Managing Director of BVLGARI, shared insights into the brand’s history. Founded in 1884 by Sotirios Voulgaris in Rome, BVLGARI has spent 141 years crafting exquisite jewellery that embodies heritage and innovation.
When asked why Siem Reap was chosen as the event’s location, Hang credited Pich Chanmony for introducing BVLGARI to the opportunity a year ago. He emphasized that the ‘AETERNA’ collection reflects the timeless beauty and cultural significance of Siem Reap, particularly Angkor Wat.
Meas Soksensan, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, highlighted the event’s significance for Cambodia. He noted that the event not only elevates the nation’s global profile but also delivers key benefits across tourism, economic growth, and cultural diplomacy.
