Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 24 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by General Ronald P. Clark, Commanding General of the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC), on Monday (Feb. 24) at the Peace Palace.

General Ronald P. Clark is visiting Cambodia at the invitation of General Mao Sophan, Deputy Commander-in-chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) and commander of the Royal Cambodian Army, for a two-day visit on 24-25 February 2025.

During his visit, in addition to meeting with Prime Minister Hun Manet, General Clark will also pay courtesy calls on General Tea Seiha, Minister of National Defence, and General Vong Pisen, Commander-in-chief of the RCAF.

He is also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with General Mao Sophan at the Royal Cambodian Army Headquarters, where the two commanders will engage in in-depth discussions aimed at strengthening and expanding military cooperation to foster trust and confidence in the defence sector between the two countries.

General Clark’s visit coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and the US. This marks the second visit by a commander of the US Army Pacific to Cambodia, following General Vincent Brooks’ visit in 2014.
