Siem Reap (FN), Feb. 25 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that some countries have attacked Cambodia, labelling it unsafe to deter global companies from coming. However, when these companies arrive to set up programs or invest in Cambodia, they witness firsthand the country's stability and security. He highlighted this as a point of national pride, reflecting Cambodia's true strength.

The premier spoke on Tuesday (Feb. 25) at the graduation ceremony of students of the University of South-East Asia in Siem Reap province.

Samdech Thipadei stated that recently, Cambodia hosted the BVLGARI Jewellery Exhibition, an international event valued at up to USD 150 million. The guests who attended were all wealthy and famous. He underlined that the BVLGARI Jewellery Exhibition, held in Cambodia, was a resounding success, drawing significant attention from business owners and key product owners, who now plan to host other events in Cambodia.

Samdech Thipadei continued, "Once they came to Cambodia, they saw firsthand that it is a safe country. As a result, not only did they participate, but they also invited their wealthy and famous guests to join, confident that Cambodia was indeed a safe destination. These achievements reflect national pride and demonstrate that Cambodia's stability and security are key factors in the country’s potential."

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei added that the major companies that came to Cambodia were eager to wear Khmer clothing and promote it globally. This is a source of national pride, not only in Siem Reap but for the entire country, as it showcases Cambodia's progress and allows the world to recognise and accept it.
