Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 28 – On 26 February 2025, at Botanico Restaurant, One HR Hub officially announced the second edition of the Cambodian Amateur Football League (CAFL) 2025. This event highlighted the league’s growing presence in Cambodia’s amateur football scene and provided insights into its structure and objectives.
Bringing extensive experience to the initiative, Yurii Maslennikov, CAFL Founder—a former semi-professional player in Russia and a seasoned event organiser—led the discussion on the competition format, rules and regulations, and sponsorship opportunities. The event also formally introduced the league’s leadership, with Mutiah Fauzan, founder of One HR Hub, announced as Chairwoman, and Khuon Laboravy, representing the Football Federation of Cambodia – Technical and Development, as President.
Mutiah Fauzan is spearheading this initiative to showcase the many ways teamwork, professional networking, and meaningful connections can be fostered beyond conventional settings. Rather than relying solely on business gatherings and formal networking events, the Cambodian Amateur Football League provides an active and engaging platform where individuals can build relationships through the shared passion for sports. This approach not only strengthens professional bonds but also contributes to a healthier community and helps combat workplace toxicity.
So far, more than ten teams have registered, with numbers continuing to grow. The tournament will kick off in May at Chroy Changvar High School Stadium, Phnom Penh, following a structured format: a Group Stage leading into Playoffs, with one game per week, two 30-minute halves, and a maximum of 20 players per team (no professional contracts allowed). Registration is now open, and for more details, follow the Cambodian Amateur Football League on Facebook.
