Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 3 – The Girl Guides Association of Cambodia (GGAC) organised the “Sister & Sister” programme under the chairmanship of spouse of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, Pich Chanmony, also Commissioner General of the GGAC.

The event was held on 2 March 2025 at the Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Centre and attended by more than 2,000 young women, students, and members.

Chanmony stated that the “Sister & Sister” programme, which GGAC regularly organises, aims to provide the younger generation with valuable experiences, encourage knowledge-sharing, and offer insights that cannot be acquired in school.

“This is an opportunity to connect, as all our associations share a common goal: supporting the youth of the next generation. Although we work in different ways, our objectives remain aligned,” she underscored.

Today’s event saw the participation of several associations, including the National Association of Cambodian Scouts (NACS), the Cambodian Red Cross Youth (RCY), the Cambodian Red Cross, the Association of Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Kittiprittbandit Scholarship Students (AMT), and the Samdech Techo Voluntary Youth Doctor Association (TYDA).

A highlight of the “Sister & Sister” programme was a special question-and-answer session between the Commissioner General and young members of the participating associations. This session provided an opportunity for the youth to seek guidance and learn from the Commissioner General’s personal experiences, helping to strengthen their mental and spiritual resilience. The programme aimed to equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to become capable, responsible, and equitable members of society—valuable human resources for the nation rather than a burden.

Additionally, the programme featured a heart-sealing ceremony and commemorative photography to mark the occasion.
