Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 4 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet provided three key recommendations to the Cambodia Development Resource Institute (CDRI) to further enhance its capacity, particularly in conducting high-quality research that serves both the Royal Government and the general public.

The premier spoke on Tuesday (Mar. 4) during Cambodia Outlook Conference 2025, held at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.

On this occasion, Samdech Thipadei underlined the critical role of research institutions, including CDRI, in policy-making and Cambodia’s overall socio-economic development.

To continue strengthening CDRI’s institutional capacity and ensure its research meets the highest standards, Samdech Thipadei outlined the following recommendations:

1. Cambodia Development Resource Institute (CDRI) should strengthen cooperation with regional research institutions to gain additional insights and broader perspectives, thereby enhancing institutional capacity for analysis and research.

2. CDRI should encourage debate on Cambodia's socio-economic development to promote the spirit of dialogue, exchange views, and provide constructive comments for improvement.

3. CDRI should fulfill its role as a hub for data collection and the publication of quantitative and qualitative research to continue promoting research through primary data collection and surveys.
