Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 5 – Cambodian Banana Agricultural Co., Ltd. (CBA) issued a statement to clarify to the public and all media that the incident related to the death of a cow on 28 February 2025 was not involved with any employee from Cambodian Banana Agricultural Co., Ltd. (CBA), and certainly was not involved with the company's management.

“Recently, a few medias have published news regarding the discovery of a dead cow at the banana farm owned by Cambodian Banana Agricultural Co., Ltd. (CBA), including allegations against the company's management and employee related to the use of firearms to shoot many livestock of the villagers to death, without seeking any information from the company to ensure that the news published was balanced,” according to the statement seen by Fresh News on Wednesday (Mar. 5).

“Regarding the above case, Cambodian Banana Agricultural Co., Ltd. (CBA) would like to clarify to the public and all medias that the incident related to the death of a cow on 28 February 2025 was not involved with any employee from Cambodian Banana Agricultural Co., Ltd. (CBA), and certainly was not involved with the company's management, because at that time, the company's management was on a mission in Japan.

Although the above incident was not involved with the company's employees and management, the incident occurred at the company's banana farm, so the company has been working closely with relevant authorities to investigate and find the truth according to legal procedures, as well as to seek justice for the parties involved. On the other hand, if there is any malefactor who has malicious intent to create a false story with the intention of defaming the company, slandering, and discrediting the company and the company management's reputation and honour, the company reserves the right to take legal actions accordingly.
