Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 6 – Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, is optimistic about launching a new route between the United Arab Emirates and Siem Reap, according to the airline’s executive team.
According to Mohammed Al Qassim, Emirates' Country Manager for Cambodia, said that the latest addition to Emirates’ Cambodian network is expected to increase passenger numbers from the United Arab Emirates to Cambodia and further support the implementation of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). This agreement marks a new era of trade and investment cooperation between Cambodia and the UAE.
Emirates announced the launch of its Dubai-Siem Reap flight on 3 March, confirming that the airline will operate three weekly flights from Dubai to Siem Reap via Bangkok, starting on 3 June 2025.
Mohammed Al Qassim emphasised that, “The addition of Emirates’ new route between Dubai and Siem Reap supports the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism’s vision to drive tourism development in line with the BUILD Plus 3Ds strategy. Cambodia is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for travellers worldwide, and Emirates is committed to promoting and facilitating this trend.”
Emirates’ flights to Siem Reap will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The new route will be operated using a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, offering 35 seats in Business Class and 386 spacious seats in Economy Class.
