Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 12 – Cambodian Rice Federation announced that in the first two months of 2025, Cambodia exported 135,074 tonnes of milled rice, earning USD 106 million, while also exporting 1.39 million tonnes of paddy, generating USD 313 million.
According to the Cambodian Rice Federation, these exports were carried out by 44 rice exporters to 51 destinations, of which to 25 European countries, totalled to 73,048 tons of rice, valued at USD 58.53 million. Meanwhile, China, including Hong Kong and Macau, received 16,500 tons worth USD 10.47 million. Four ASEAN countries imported 23,297 tons valued at USD 16.66 million, while 20 other countries—Africa, the Middle East, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.—imported 22,229 tons worth USD 19.87 million.
Of the rice exported, fragrant rice accounted for 86.03 per cent, white rice 8.65 per cent, parboiled rice 2.99 per cent, organic rice 1.87 per cent, and other varieties 0.46 per cent. Notably, total wet rice exports reached 1,392,115 tons, generating over USD 313.22 million.
