Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 13 – In the first two months of 2025, Cambodia exported goods to the United States (US) market worth USD 1.6 billion, an increase of 25.4 per cent compared to the same period in 2024, which stood at only USD 1.2 billion, according to a report by the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, seen by Fresh News on Thursday (Mar. 13).
According to the report, from January to February 2025, the total trade volume between Cambodia and the US amounted to USD 1.67 billion. Of this, Cambodia’s exports exceeded USD 1.62 billion, while imports from the US stood at USD 48 million, reflecting a rise of more than 34 per cent.
The growth in Cambodia’s exports to the US highlights the robust trade relations between the two countries. These export figures confirm that the US remains Cambodia’s largest export market.
Cambodia’s key exports to the US primarily include clothing, travel accessories (such as suitcases and bags), bicycles, accessories, and various consumer goods. Meanwhile, Cambodia imports cars, machinery, jewellery, cosmetics, electrical and electronic equipment, and other consumer products from the US.
