Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 14 – Cambodian Senate President, Samdech Techo Hun Sen warned a woman residing in the United States not to attempt to incite a Khmer Rouge-like movement that could lead to an uprising in Cambodia. Although Samdech Techo Hun Sen did not identify the woman, her actions have raised concerns.
Samdech Techo spoke on Friday (Mar. 14) during a solidarity dinner with the Cambodian Oknha Association at Premier Centre Sen Sok in Phnom Penh.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen underscored, “You talk about the Khmer Rouge and suggest a country revolt, especially a certain lady. Don’t think that dissolving one group will make me ignore what you say. Should the country rise up to rebel against you or your boss, or should they rise in support of the national movement to build the country?”
Samdech Techo Hun Sen further mentioned that the woman had been in a scheme to launch a drone attack on his residence.
