Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 14 – Cambodian Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed hope that more tycoons will join the Cambodian Tycoon Association, highlighting its significant contributions to investment across sectors and job creation for Cambodian citizens.
Samdech Techo spoke on Friday (Mar. 14) during a solidarity dinner with the Cambodian Oknha Association at Premier Centre Sen Sok in Phnom Penh.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen stated, "The private sector is the engine of economic growth, with the state serving as an economist and manager. The Oknha Association brings together this vital sector, and while some Oknha have not yet joined, I hope its strength will continue to grow through the association's dynamic activities."
On the occasion, Samdech Techo also highlighted the Oknha Association of Cambodia's business activities, which have generated numerous jobs through the establishment of factories, enterprises, agricultural farms, and agro-industrial linkages. He praised the association for building a strong structure with legal standards and support mechanisms to ensure its sustainability and operational efficiency.
At the same time, Samdech Techo Hun Sen also acknowledged the Oknha Association’s involvement in humanitarian efforts through the Cambodian Red Cross, as well as its support for sports and cultural activities, all of which contribute to societal progress.
