Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 19 – On Wednesday morning (Mar. 19), at the Ministry of Commerce, Cambodian Minister of Commerce Cham Nimul presided over the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the Ministry of Commerce and six animal feed production companies—M’S PIG A C MC (Cambodia), BETAGRO (Cambodia) Company Limited, Agri-Master Co., Ltd., De Heus TMH Co., Ltd., Ant Feed Co., Ltd., and CJ CheilJedang Feed (Cambodia) Co., Ltd.—to promote the purchase of maize, cassava, and other raw materials.
Through this MoU, the Ministry of Commerce will coordinate with the six companies to purchase 189,000 tons of maize, 81,600 tons of cassava, 51,130 tons of broken rice, and 57,730 tons of rice husks.
This event demonstrated the role of promoting investment in local agricultural processing, increasing product value, and strengthening the agricultural value chain at a time when Cambodia is facing rising animal feed costs and growing business opportunities in the development of the agro-commercial sector, while also promoting an inclusive socio-economic environment.
