Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 21 – Robert Dussey, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration, and Togolese Diaspora of the Republic of Togo, congratulated Cambodia on its rapid development in all sectors.
Robert Dussey paid a courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet at the Peace Palace on 20 March 2025.
During the meeting, Robert Dussey congratulated Cambodia on its rapid development across all sectors and its upcoming role as host of the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026. He expressed his support for Cambodia in organizing this summit successfully.
The minister also briefed Samdech Thipadei on the achievements of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Togo and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia. Additionally, he highlighted the fruitful results of his discussions with relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions, exploring the feasibility and opportunities to expand cooperation and strengthen ties between the Chambers of Commerce of both countries.
In response, Samdech Thipadei welcomed the minister and his delegation to Cambodia and expressed gratitude to the Government of Togo for supporting Cambodia in hosting the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026.
The premier underlined that the 15-year diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Togo have become increasingly active in recent years and highly valued the successful cooperation between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, Samdech Thipadei added that Cambodia and Togo have numerous potential sectors for expanding cooperation, including government-to-government relations, private sector collaborations, and fostering people-to-people connections.
