Kandal (FN), Mar. 21 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet reaffirmed that the Royal Government of Cambodia is not falling behind in salary payments, highlighting that civil servants are receiving their wages on time without delay.

The premier spoke on Friday (Mar. 21) at the inauguration of a school building and various achievements at Hun Sen Sereipheap High School, Takhmao City, Kandal Province.

He further announced that for April 2025, the government will provide double salaries plus allowances for all civil servants and teachers, underscoring the efficiency of Cambodia’s financial budget management system.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Hun Manet underlined that the ongoing efforts to improve pension schemes for teachers, expressing optimism that the government will continue enhancing support for retired educators. He underlined that both new and long-serving civil servants are being taken care of, with attention given to salary increases, pensions, and overall well-being.

Samdech Thipadei confirmed that in celebration of the traditional Khmer New Year, the government will maintain its policy of providing an additional 50,000-riel allowance in April. Civil servants and teachers will receive double salaries, plus the 50,000-riel Khmer New Year bonus, no later than 11 April 2025.

Samdech Thipadei stated, “If the state treasury were empty, it would be impossible to pay salaries on time—let alone provide double salaries for April. However, salaries will be paid as scheduled, without cuts or delays. Our financial and budget management systems are clear and well-structured.”
