Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 24 – The three-day Angkor Equinox event, took place on 21-23 March 2025, attracted approximately 80,200 national and international tourists to the Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap.

According to a report from the Ministry of Tourism, the event welcomed around 71,000 domestic and provincial tourists, along with approximately 9,200 international visitors.

The Angkor Equinox takes place twice a year—the first being the Vernal Equinox, which typically occurs between 21-23 March from 5:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m., and the second being the Autumnal Equinox, which falls in September.

This spectacular natural phenomenon draws thousands of visitors to the western entrance of Angkor Wat, where they capture breathtaking images of the sun aligning perfectly with the temple’s central tower.
