Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 24 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet advised Khmer-Muslim leaders and all Muslims must continue to collaborate in solidarity and friendship while maintaining positive relationships with other religious communities at both national and international levels, guided by the principles of racial and religious harmonisation.
The premier spoke on Monday (Mar. 24) at the 2025 Ramadan Iftar dinner in Phnom Penh.
Samdech Thipadei also encouraged Khmer-Muslim leaders and all Muslims to continue to organise and lead religious affairs in the Khmer-Muslim communities through close collaboration with the Ministry of Cults and Religion and competent authorities at all levels.
“The Khmer-Muslim leaders and all Muslims must continue to collaborate in solidarity and friendship while maintaining positive relationships with other religious communities at both national and international levels, guided by the principles of racial and religious harmonisation,” the premier underscored.
The premier noted that Cambodia takes great pride in its people, who practice different religions yet live together in harmony. This is not only a source of national pride but also a positive example for countries in the region and around the world, as many nations recognise and appreciate Cambodia’s religious harmony.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei also expressed gratitude to the organising committee of the Iftar dinner, chaired by Senior Minister Othman Hassan, for co-hosting the event as a demonstration of solidarity, mutual understanding, and peaceful coexistence within Cambodia’s Muslim community.
