Sihanoukville (FN), Mar. 26 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said that he plans to visit and engage with civil servants in the provinces more frequently in 2025, following the precedent set by former Prime Minister Hun Sen.
The premier spoke on Wednesday (Mar. 26) at the official inauguration of the new school building, teachers' dormitory, and management facility at Hun Sen Veal Rehn High School.
"I will probably visit many teachers soon. Next year, I will meet with workers again, as we met during the first year. The following year, we will meet the workers, but this year, I will likely visit many teachers in schools," the premier underscored.
It is noteworthy that visiting civil servants in the provinces aligns with the approach introduced by Samdech Techo Hun Sen. During his tenure as Prime Minister, Samdech Techo Hun Sen visited the capital and provinces to meet with civil servants, citizens, and the armed forces, gaining direct insight into their well-being, needs, and daily challenges.
Furthermore, during these engagements, Samdech Techo Hun Sen addressed pressing issues and responded to the requests of local officials. He also provided direct instructions to civil servants to enhance their ability to deliver public services efficiently and ensure security and safety for the citizens.
